12 Days to go before Departure
Here it is- Sunday, August 5th and I still have a million things to do to get ready to leave!
My Trip is to travel the Pan American Highway from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina and I will be leaving from Boise, Idaho on August 17th to do the Northern Portion of this journey.
The Northern Portion of this trip will be from Boise, Idaho to Whitehorse, B.C.. Canada to Deadhorse, Alaska as I have already traveled the Edmonton- Calgary portion on a trip to see Lake Louise and Banf, Canada in 2016. I plan to start the Southern Portion of the trip in 2019.
My vehicle for this trip is my classic 1977 Dodge B-200 Tradesman Camper Van that I have worked on restoring since 2014. Here's a pic and a link to my RV.Net Blog about restoring the Van:

The Link will take you to the restoration blog with history and pictures of the many things that I have done with the van to get ready- please check it out.
The van came equipped with a small 3 way absorption Fridge, a propane stove/ oven/ heater, a pullout slide for a couch/ single bed and a chemical toilet. I've added a 150 watt solar panel and a 100 Amp hour AGM Deep Cycle battery to provide off the grid power for lights, accessories and charging devices and a shower area.

This is going to be an amazing trip to add to my other adventures including cycling across the Australian Outback, motorcycle riding thru Vietnam and living and traveling throughout SE Asia.
Here is a link to my other Travel Blogs if you'd like to explore some of these other Adventures!

In this first post I would also like to thank my current Sponsors-
Reyco Systems, Inc of Caldwell Idaho for their generous and kind assistance and,
Adesa, Boise, my employers and friends there who support me every day.
My next post will be about a Bon Voyage Party coming on Saturday, August 11th.
Thank you for following me and please comment! Cheers!!
