On Saturday, August 11th my parents hosted a party in our backyard for the band I am part of so we could play our first gig. The band is called 'A' Game and their are 5 of us- Greg is the lead guitar and vocalist, Carl is our bass player, Issac is on keyboards and Chuck is the drummer. I play rhythm guitar and lead vocals on some songs.


It was over 100 degrees so we set up shade awnings for our friends and family and neighbors who turned out and had a good showing of about 40 people with a core group of 25 or so that stayed the entire show. We played from 2:30 pm to about 5:30 pm for about 40 minutes every hour.

Everyone had a great time and it was incredibly fun and satisfying to do this after practicing for 6 months with this concert as our goal. Many thanks to my band mates; they are awesome!!

I consider it a 'Bon Voyage' Party, but it was also Greg's birthday so I will share the love...

I will share pics and maybe some movies of the show here when I can get some from friends who were there.

Today I am making some purchases of safety and repair items and extra fluids (Oil, ATF, Brake fluid, spare Fan Belts, Tire plug kit) in the hopes that being prepared means a smoother trip. My brother is coming by to help me finish a closet space out by adding a hanging bar. I'm also going to start organizing and loading in things in order of daily need and accessibility- a process that will go on throughout the week. I will be daily driving the van to work and this will be a good opportunity to see how thing ride on the road in their storage areas!
